A rush of excitement and fear like gazing down from the pinnacle of a mountain… that’s how I feel about moving overseas. And that decision was made while painting this piece.

I’ve spent most of my twenties investing somewhere I don’t want to live and pursuing a career I don’t want to have. And now, rather than continuing to hope things will change, I’m going to create the life I want no matter what it takes.

That’s what this piece represents: changing your life.
